The European Commission is currently pushing the idea “Big Data” in the Future Internet, through several of its research and technology programmes. One such event, The European Data Forum (EDF) 2012 took place last June 6-7, 2012 in Copenhagen (Denmark). The idea was to show to decision makers in Industry that interesting technologies have already emerged from the various research labs and that it is time for European companies to seriously investigate how they can benefit from combining their business operations with a mix of publicly available data. One of the results of the event was the generation of 7463 links between
GeoLinkedData and
GDAM datasets. This result was an effort within the context of PlanetData project.
