    The Ontology Engineering Group of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Informáticos of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is one of the groups officially recognized by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and is currently ranked third in the classification of research groups of the UPM. The group conducts research in the areas of Ontological Engineering, Semantic Web and Linked Data, Natural Language Processing, Semantic e-Science and the Future Internet. It has also developed applications in a wide range of fields, including knowledge management, smart cities, environmental applications, e-commerce, job search and funding, multimedia library management, etc.

    Work to be carried out

    The objectives of the work to be carried out are:

    1. Definition of architectures for decentralized interoperable service systems
    2. Development of semantic interoperability components in decentralized environments
    3. Development of data federation, validation and data privacy services
    4. Participation in tasks related to standardization
    5. Development of proofs of concept
    6. Operation and maintenance of the implemented architecture components

    Profile Requested

    We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher working in the research line on semantic interoperability through the Web of Things paradigm in decentralized and distributed scenarios with a focus on privacy. The successful candidate will be expected to take on both research and development tasks.
