    The Ontology Engineering Group of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Informáticos of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is one of the groups officially recognized by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and is currently ranked third in the classification of research groups of the UPM. The group conducts research in the areas of Ontological Engineering, Semantic Web and Linked Data, Natural Language Processing, Semantic e-Science and the Future Internet. It has also developed applications in a wide range of fields, including knowledge management, smart cities, environmental applications, e-commerce, job search and funding, multimedia library management, etc.

    Work to be carried out

    The objectives of the work to be carried out are:

    1. Development of connectors for the integration of data infrastructures (including IoT data)
    2. Creation of knowledge graphs from decentralized data sources
    3. Development of services on knowledge graphs to support machine learning tasks
    4. Development of services on knowledge graphs to support data validation and quality assurance
    5. Use of knowledge graphs in value-added services such as data portals or data marketplaces
    6. Development of proofs of concept
    7. Operation and maintenance of implemented components

     

    Profile Requested

    We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to research artificial intelligence techniques working on knowledge graphs in the domain of the Internet of Things. The candidate will be expected to undertake both research and development tasks.
