PhD position in the area of LD stream processing and privacy- Zurich (Switzerland)

The Dynamic and Distributed Information Systems Group at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) is inviting applications for one PhD student position in the area of stream processing with a keen interest in data priv

The PhD student will be supervised by Prof. Abraham Bernstein and co-supervised by Prof. Michael Böhlen of the Database Technology Group. You will work in a recently granted projects funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (see project description at [1]).

You have:
  • a master's degree in informatics, computer science, mathematics (or an equivalent university study).
  • strong analytical/mathematical skills
  • expertise in database systems, statistics, privacy or economics is helpful.
  • good programming skills in several languages are desirable
  • an interest in applying computer science research to real-world problems
  • excellent command of English; German is a plus but not required
