Job announcement (“Delivering Agile Research Excellence” (DARE) H2020 project)

The School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, invites applications for a full-time fixed-term Research Associate on the “Delivering Agile Research Excellence” (DARE) H2020 project, project-dare.eu. We are supporting two challenge applications: computational seismology and climate-impact modelling by pushing the limits in scale, computation and complexity. Edinburgh is delivering its data-streaming architecture, dispel4py, combined with a sophisticated mapping from science-oriented abstractions to distributed target software stacks on clouds and specialised platforms.

The Research Associate will work with Professor Malcolm Atkinson and colleagues in EPCC, to investigate new conceptual models of the information spaces, methods, data and collections needed to deliver understandable new capabilities to research collaborators in any field.

The post is available from 1 June 2019 and is full-time and fixed-term for 16 months.

Salary: £33,199 - £39,609 per annum.

Closing date for applications is Monday 29 April 2019 at 5pm (GMT).
