doctoral researcher/PhD student or postdoctoral researcher (100% TV-L E 13)

What You Will Contribute

You will contribute to research and development of our award-winning framework, GazeTheWeb. You will investigate how semantic understanding of E-learning environments can be turned into computer assistance for physically-impaired students. You will determine scope of this research and development in order to maximize real-world impact.

Eligibility

Applicants for the position are required to have an M.Sc. in computer science or in a related field. Excellent programming skills for developing interactive user interfaces and browser-based programming are required. Expertise and experience for using machine learning and computer vision methods would also be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an international team are indispensable for the position. Postdoctoral researchers must have shown their scientific skills by publications in internationally renowned conferences. The University of Stuttgart would like to increase the number of women in the scientific field and is therefore particularly interested in applications from women. Severely disabled persons are given priority in the case of equal suitability. The employment process of scientific employees is carried out by the university’s central administration.

Salary

The salary amounts to German TV-L E 13, which starts at approx. 50,000 Euro income per year (before taxation).
